san francisco has excellent bus, subway, , tram system. , caltrain provides commuter rail service between san jose , san francisco. trains comfortable. there bike racks, restrooms, tables, , electrical sockets on train. caltrain has "open container" policy allows bring drinks aboard. during morning , evening commute, express trains run in 57 minutes. regular trains take around 1 hour 30 minutes.

grab fast food, newspaper, sit down, relax, , enjoy ride.
