How does a working couple get financial assistance?

husband , got married in august, , have baby on way. due educational constraints financial, works jobs don't offer in terms of salary, , 1 working job offers medical coverage (which extremely expensive) , better pay. going home 2 months once baby comes, , still have rent, car insurance , food pay for...and worried death won't able pay anything. live "no frills" lifestyle. don't have fancy vehicles, never buy new clothes, hell, our landlord saw struggling lowered rent (god bless him). aren't in severe debt, good. have loan out on car , student loan has been deferred...but it's like...we live nothing saved in bank because every penny literally goes toward basic living expenses. doesn't have healthcare because can't afford 3 of have (and baby can through job if have it). there out there honest, working people legally married , literally struggle week week fulfill basic needs?
