tip #1: if trying convince people looking @ "friend's" photography, should ensure y!a account name , flickr account name not both "savannah."

tip #2: don't over-edit photos. it's common mistake lot of people make. should need more photos besides add touch of contrast, adjust exposure bit, , maybe clone out distracting elements. editing necessary, shouldn't crank contrast, add huge vignettes, put in cheesy effects , textures time. also, pretty don't ever touch saturation. it's asking trouble.

tip #3: learn exposure. shoot in manual while, until understand different effects aperture, shutter speed, , iso have on image. either stick manual, or go av or tv (a or s on nikon) mode. automatic modes have no place in real photography when camera capable of shooting manual. understand there people budgets not allow them buy manual camera, do... use it.

tip #4: composition. read on rule of thirds, leading lines, perspective, etc.

tip #5: shoot ambient light before start trying play flashes. if don't know you're doing flashes, 1 of easiest ways ruin images. time being, force flash off.

tip #6: keep shooting, no matter how many cranky mean photographers me try down.
