What clay should I buy?

looking sculpture. nothing big or drastic, tiny fantasy figures, cute dragons , other animals, hobby. problem don't know clay should use. have used sculpey in past (can't remember if regular or sculpey iii), remember clay being soft, showing finger prints , making fine details difficult. there brand of clay easy work little bit more firm? recommended budding sculpture artist (with minimal skill)?
