Can I use car speakers for home audio?

i've seen done before, quality not good, car speakers 4 ohm , home amps 8 ohm, run danger of burning out home amp, can use car amp converter car amps not clean sounding in home environment..also car speakers have more distortion home speakers don't notice in car because environment noisy in home notice it...if want sounding home speakers not expensive take @ fluance speakers, bic makes speakers not expensive, maybe dayton drivers make own...

i want new speakers home stereo system because current ones huge. looked prices new speakers , high. noticed can car audio speakers cheap. can make enclosure car speakers , use them home stereo system?
