How do i get my wii to work on my home theatre system?

have purchased panasonic dvd home theatre system , have plugged virgin v+ box in ok cannot work out how wii go through system. have 2 hdmi sockets in tv, 1 has v+ box , other has theatre system. have red , white plug things going v+ box theatre system , have wii scarted of tv. have tried plugging wii in everywhere else cannot work. suggestions appreciated
