What do you make of this situation I had with an Academic Advisor?

senior citizen , made appointment academic advisor @ local university because i'm interested in taking advantage of policy there gives nice big discount senior citizens want take classes!
anyway ended having appointment bubbly 22-23 year old didn't seem of help. started asking me simple questions such kind of classes interested in taking, mentioned in arts , goal earn ba. next question asked me whether or not knew how use computer. told yes. , behaved did not believe me , started asking me silly questions such if knew "mouse" , if knew how search information on internet. answered yes. after that, went on , on different programs in "social sciences" department , concluded telling me should consider majoring in "gerontology" (the study of aging). did not hear word said when discussing interest in visual art, music, art history, etc, why did suggest major in study of aging? because senior?

requested appointment advisor, want know think.
