essence of georg wilhelm friedrich hegel's concept of history can thought of process. maintained proceed through series of conflicts of opposites... opposite poles on whole range of things- political, economic, technological, social, , other issues. has opposite. thesis/antithesis. these opposites encounter 1 , merge synthesis which, itself, has opposite. process goes on , on future. hegel's ideas complex , have had ramifications many important scholars on decades. karl marx, example, used hegelian dialectic formulate economic ideas. think bastardized hegel though. scholars have said marx turned hegel on head. example, marx argued process of dialectic materialism resolved final synthesis after process complete. final synthesis communism. regards.
