Do i need ful coverage if i have GAP insurance?

gap insurance has nothing california financial responsibility laws. need liability insurance.

gap insurance has financing. if total car in accident, , own more on it worth, gap insurance pays difference instead of paying out of pocket.

i financed new car , got gap insurance. here in california u must have insurance on vehicles. since purchased gap, need full coverage or liability ok?
