Painting bathtub surround..what type of paint?

okay had painted white before think used malamine paint , 5 years later did touch ups , apparently used different type of paint , bubbled , peeled. started scraping paint off there anyway can paint on started chipping away at, cause going take forever lol. wondering if should use primer malamine maybe help. suggestions.
