One coolant fan not working on 05 Pontiac Grand Prix?

have 2005 pontiac grand prix overheats in slow traffic or if left idleing in warm weather...neither of coolant fans working had relays , fuses replaced...only them blow again few days later...well had put in garage morning , when picked doing great awhile..i had air on , left idleing...temp ok...but reading on odometer getting 2 notches above half ( don't know if hot or not) wasnt doing earlier..anyway left car running , lifted hood...only drivers side fan working (the air conditioning on). know if both fans supposed run @ same time? , if why 1 fan work , not other? information have helpful...thanks
