How many out there think toyota's quick fix shim is b.s.?

first company denied problem years , blaming problem on american made accelerator pedal system.common sense tell if gas pedal sticking when give car gas take foot off pedal car remain @ speed,.in of claims i've read car accelerated after taking foot off gas , had car accelerate out of control while @ stopped position foot on brake.in opinion,toyota covering bigger problem computer software controls acceleration of car , trying lay blame on american made parts.i think it's kind of odd cars in country not affected everywhere else having recalls.another thing toyota co. said doesn't make sense pedal problem develops on time , wear , tear,but problem still exists of newer models also.i think after recalls , law suits toyota lucky if survive,i'm glad both vehicles american made.what think this?
