The pilot of an aircraft wishes to fly due west in a 45.6 km/h wind blowing toward the south.?

did problem this, different numbers

since sum of velocities in north-south direction cancel
(164 km/hr)(sin a) = 45.6 km/hr
= arcsin(45.6/164)
= 16.14* (north of west) <======= answer

v = (164 km/hr)(cos 16.14)
v = 157.5 km/hr due west <==== answer b

the speed of aircraft in absence of wind 164 km/h.
a) how many degrees west should aircraft head? let clockwise positive.
b) should plane’s speed relative ground?
