Is it possible to stay in a hotel in Shenzhen and go to the fair in HK?

hong kong , china have separate customs. if don't have entry permit chinese people , traveling passport, need visa. because in reality many people commuting between these 2 cities, lines move rather @ border. hassle more of spending time on traffic hong kong island shenzhen. train rides take 1.5 hour each way. stay in hong kong hotel , have time going out @ night.

hi. want go gifts , premiums fair in hong kong. have found nice hotel in shenzhen, china. advisable stay in shenzhen , commute , forth kh? or there a big hassle @ border? advice
