San francisco or new york?

san francisco hands down things. 2 places vastly different. san francisco city small. part of bay area smaller new york. shopping, great outdoors life, shorter commutes new york, better families.

have since have lived in nyc , sf, new york more similar los angeles , san francisco more similar boston.

whats greater city live in? sfo or nyc?
in terms of outdoors, cost of living, shopping experience, commute convenience, raising family etc.
