6 days ago. uh-60 black hawk went down saturday. cause under investigation, not believed have been due enemy fire, military said in short statement.

aside that..

april 9, 2010.. u.s. air force osprey went down in southeastern afghanistan, killing 3 service members , 1 civilian contractor in first crash of costly tilt-rotor aircraft in combat zone, u.s. military said. taliban spokesman said militants shot down aircraft, insurgents make exaggerated claims. nato said cause still under investigation

when last time american combat aircraft shot down hostile action in active war zone? not counting friendly fire or cases of mistaken identity.
