Commuting to college, is it worth it?

looking go college in city. there it's matter of driving 2 minutes train station, , riding train 40 mins (takes 2 blocks campus). not sure all. people commuting lonely , don't meet people. okay on campus living there seems whole lot more expensive , boring @ times.

advice, experience, etc.?
