Why should taxes be uniformed?
article 1, section 8, clause 1 of u.s. constitution states:
"the congress shall have power lay , collect taxes, duties, imposts , excises, pay debts , provide common defence , general welfare of united states; duties, imposts , excises shall uniform throughout united states;"

"uniform" requirement not mean pays same percentage tax or same amount of taxes. means tax laws have geographically uniform throughout united states , territories. in other words, same federal tax laws apply citizens of georgia , citizens of oregon (or other state).
federal tax laws uniform. 1 possible reason requirement prevent congress laying more oppressive indirect tax on citizens of 1 state on citizens of state.
if governments have power tax why think these taxes must uniform?
