I would like to be a history teacher but...?

despite teachers, principals , board of ed tell you. don't need know history, teach history.

what? that's crazy, how can history teacher that?

it's true. you, love history , love stories, background in world history , government, prior year knew little history (although did know government). class did end teaching? history. there many times teaching kids things had learned 1 week before them, 1 day before them.

have textbook best source in world cliff-notes style read on history. else can go basic research (internet or library). , when kid asks question , have no idea answer can use classic line of "i give answer think better if looked up." (this great hands on way learn history)

if want learn history in general, problem is big, have narrow down times , places or better yet events. there no shortage of videos on youtube history, plus @ least jillion documentaries on dvds, not mention books.

i love history. think it's fascinating, , love stories. history teacher thing know nothing history. have low grades in history classes because teacher doesn't teach us; makes read book. how can learn history hands on?
