amd makes phenom , phenom ii processors , tend perform , cheap

intel makes core serise , tend etremely expsensive , raise price of computer.
includes core 2 duo, core 2 quad, core 2 extreme, core i3, i5, i7 , i9.

amd systems support ddr2 ram, unless newer top of line phenom ii support ddr3 ram

intel's core serise support ddr3

suggest buying desktop core i7 920 or higher, price of i7 has dropped quite bit in last cupple months

laptop suggest core 2 quad or core i7 720qm or higher.
