Is it weird, i'm into writing... except poetry?

writing, , wanted scriptwriter or journalist on paper.. however, never liked poetry.. don't understand it, , whenever try compose, frustrated, because seems there's no smooth flow on mind, trying come right words.

weird? because feel every "writer" out there must start out poetry.. write fiction , blog, however, don't feel writing poems :\ , pressured!
