tires can make poor vehicle design, size tire fits comes in "performance" tire. lots of crap passes "all season", season tires going run $600 set (eagle f1 season.) work @ tire dealer, , that's sell you. makes world of difference. p235/75r15 tires explorer under $400 set.

gas mileage, you're going 25mpg out of grand am, if can keep foot off pedal. explorer going more 18-20mpg depending on engine.

grand waste friends @ stop lights, explorer carry them all.

myself, go ford, i'm ford guy , i've got motor cycle have no use cars because time i'm not on bike i'll want truck.

which better choice first car. 2002 pontiac grand gt supercharged w/ 135k or 1997 ford explorer w/ 30k both around 2500 give or take?
