What is aircraft ram air?

ram-air intake intake design uses dynamic air pressure created vehicle motion increase static air pressure inside of intake manifold on engine, allowing greater massflow through engine , hence increasing engine power.
ram air intake works reducing intake air velocity increasing cross sectional area of intake ducting. when gas velocity goes down dynamic pressure reduced while static pressure increased. increased static pressure in plenum chamber has positive effect on engine power, both because of pressure , increased air density higher pressure gives. pitot sensors used measure ram pressure, added static pressure derive airspeed of aircraft.
