Problems with Home Theater System?

got samsung home theater system christmas. hooked up, started watching dvd. every movie watched, somewhere around 2 or 3 times per movie screen go black half second , come on. @ top, said "hdmi theater" (the input home theater connected to). audio never went out during time. well, got point there little longer stretches in movies video go out.

took best buy , got next 1 up. same basic unit, rear speakers wireless. well, during movie lasted hour , half, picture went out twice. there couple little hiccups in there (not worried those).

know if samsung bad home theater system, or possibly have bad hdmi cable. said, nothing wrong sound. video. should take (again) , upgrade sony looking at? if helps any, have sony tv. help.
