Instrument panel gauges out on 2003 toyota matrix?

gauges went out on instrument panel. checked fuse under dash, fine. checked fuse under hood supposed radio, fine too. replaced anyway , gauges came on. after car has been sitting few hours, gauges go out again have take out fuse under hood , put in them work. thoughts?
