My computer's monitor is not working...virus?

led or light on monitor signally power on activated or ember? have died age, connection screen might lose check leads going monitor, virus possible viruses effect both monitor , desktop. check leads, or replace monitor check whether problem persists , try running anti-virus package sure.

my computer old p4 works veryyyy nice. , monitor not working. ideas of settings can turn off?? ideas. in working order , cpu powers on , no display on monitor. plz help.. lot!!
