Anybody buy a boat and wish they hadn't?

i'm thinking of buying first boat. i've heard money pit comments , second best day of owning boat day sell it, first being day buy it. me, days in between, of being on water catching fish, melt money issues. work for? i'm in ma, fishing saltwater exclusively i'll need @ least 24 ft boat chop around here. thinking of getting cuddy overnight striper fishing. $10k looking @ 10 year old sea ray inboard. reason outboards seem they'd easier maintain that's option also. surf fish 40 times season, using boat not issue. comments fishermen boat fish appreciated.
