Why wrestling is not considered to be a martial art?

many martial art don't have ranking system....

root of every martial art asia..but many styles flourished many other continents...
asians,romans , greeks started practicing wrestling @ same time think..
asked because in wikipedia described martial art..but many top martial artiest or sites says not...

what definition of martial art???
heard many peoples have different view points in matter...even in yahoo answer martial art, wrestling , boxing have different categories....
