Mazda 3 Question about engine light being on?

live in texas not cold often. morning when got car 41 degrees (this might not have problem putting out there in case). turned on 06 mazda 3 2.0 4cyl manual transmission , engine had plenty of rpm (i not pushing on gas) , shaking or acting fighting stay on. shook point feel car shake little , saw check engine light come on. gave little gas , stopped shaking , ran normal. turned off car , turned on , ran fine light still on. drove work no problems making few stops.

due oil change has been 4 months , 3,600 miles since last change. know either 3,000 miles or 3 months go on due mazda manual says change oil every 7,500 miles.

other thing when stop light engine makes little shake again wants die. down , rpm's low. give little gas , again goes normal.

car has 49,000 miles , not leak fluids. thing can think fuel filter or fuel pump. wanted couple of other ideas due fact have 0 mechanical experience , don't want eyes poked out @ mechanics not having idea i'm talking about.

help!
