Keloid scar - genealogy?

late grandfather had round lump 1cm diameter on of 1 of earlobes. bit freaked out , scared ask was, have since learned may have been keloid scar.

i've heard keloid scarring more common in people of african, , other non-white origins. grandfather white, had quite dark skin, , i'm not sure ancestral heritage. presence of scar mean grandad had african blood somewhere in family? work that? statistics might relevant?

i'm interested in genealogy haven't studied actual genes etc since school, forgive me if sound idiot!
