Printer help please ?

applications using print pictures , text documents?

make sure printer set default printer.

close , restart open applications want print default printer set within programs.

should able manually select printer within application selecting file menu bar @ top, select print. select printer list of available printers in print box, ok.

my printer hp officejet j4580. i'm able print pictures fine, can't print documents. me please ! have no idea whats wrong printer.
