What jobs have to do with Philosophy ?

first, philosophy difficult, abstract, , unless have real interest in it, feel tortured going through of difficult readings, ever. think have interest bit covered onto job prospects!

philosophy, foremost, discipline teaches how think; mean philosophy hone reasoning , logical ability able create concise , reasoned arguments become able detect poor reasoning in other people's thoughts. primary skill you'll develop philosophy student opposed learning facts in science or history etc. helps in grad school tests such gmat, lsat etc, since general skill tests. however, philosophy degree on own (a ba) isn't going in making money because there aren't jobs ask skill set acquire in philosophy; jobs want have specific ability (like engineering). if phd in philosophy won't making ton of money (esp in comparison grad school costs) professor. best thing take philosophy alongside program find interesting; recommend isn't liberal art since having 2 liberal arts majors kind of redundant. example people major in philosophy , business , mbas. philosophy helps grad school test scores , business gives them factual background in discipline. hope helps!
