Nissan 240sx drift car project?

one, don't need high performance engine, if 240 has miles on it, might want rebuild bit. it's going depend on how far going take drifting.

if doing weekend hobby , don't plan on trying go far it, stock ka bolt-ons fine.

if plan on trying make money @ events, sponsors, etc, might want @ getting bit more power under hood.


first things do.
1. suspension set up. stock set soft , you'll have tons of body roll, , negate trying slide.
2. vlsd or regular lsd. want both wheels spinning when drifting , open diff, while possible, bit harder slide with.
3. make sure brakes decent. while drifting sliding, there times when may need stop, or slow down entry speed coming corner.

once have things addressed, can start simple bolt-ons exhaust, intake filter , header. net decent, , easy add, horsepower. later on, can things cam, pistons, head work, etc.


there big misconception need lots of power drift. not true, help.
need sideways enough speed , able keep tires spinning , keep speed.
