Tile Paint or Transfers.?

i've bought old pine table has tiled top im hoping revamp. i'd intended paint tiles tile paint suggested tile transfers. im not of diy expert , im wondering if should continue original idea of tile paint or transfers sound easier. wondering if there such things 'heatproof' tile transfers kitchen table? grateful suggestions or advice please?
