1998 Pontiac Sunfire Overheating, Coolant Fan wont kick in, coolant isnt running through, heat doesnt work?

have 1998 pontiac sunfire overheating.
symptoms:
coolant fan not kick in
coolant doesn't run through system because hoses dont hot
heat in car doesnt work

beginning think coolant sensor, not mechanic not know sure. thought possibly thermistat, fan doesnt kick in, , doesnt seem related. did block test, not headgasket, thankfully. thoughts mechanics or people similar experiences? in advance.
