first, go book says. listen motor when accelerating hill. if hear pinging, or other noises, need go in octane. on cars, won't notice change in mpg or power premium gas. on other cars, better mpg , power premium gas. drive 2 tanks of each , check noise, mpg, , power while going hill. if runs better 93 octane, use it. if there no difference, use regular. luck.

i got car , parents both tell me i'm wasting money on premium gas, not required... it? m y car has 2.8 v6 engine... should run premium, regular, or mid grade?
