What to major in, English or Theatre?

have been @ community college year , have enough credits transfer university doing next semester. problem don't know want major in. can't decide between theatre , english. love writing , plan pursue in future. , scriptwriting, essays, fiction, etc. feel degree lot more useful in future , lot more concrete. know can such degree. 1 problem 1 restlessness. bored , i'm afraid won't able make through of more hardcore literature classes.

however, theatre seems fun , alive. energetic , love going plays, reading plays, acting, etc. taking acting classes @ local theatre. however, i'm thinking maybe minor in or continue taking classes outside of college. outside of acting or directing (which don't want do), can't think of else such degree.

else have opinions? between 2 degrees, think best? please no smart remarks.
