2004 Mazda 6 Muffler Removal?

have 2004 mazda 6s (3.0l v6) , wanted hear sound removed 1 muffler , i'm happy it.
it's dual exhaust though got 1 pipe muffler going out , other 1 aimed sideways out middle of car.

got tubing-bender , welder, planning on going straight pipe 1 took muffler off, should both well?

, i'm pretty sure doing no damage, still pass smog alright won't it?
