if compare statistics, straight across, sti better car.
04-07 sti 300hp , 300ft-lb, evo viii/ix 286hp , 271ft-lb.
both 3300lbs, evo has fragile 5 speed manual, sti has unbreakable 6 speed. sti has 3 limited slip differentials, including driver adjustable center differential, evo has active center differential has 3 settings , no manual control. mitsubishi stiffer ride, , arguably handle more sharply subaru, subaru better overall car daily driving. also, subaru makes more power lower boost levels, making tuning less critical , leaving more room improvement. plus, sti has better pedigree behind it, far better racing history in worlds difficult race series, world rally championship. also, interior of subaru far higher quality feel , fit evo. add that, fact if you're on 180lbs, evo seats uncomfortable, while sti seats comfortable.
both cars, overall i'd sti better.

what car take if had choose one, , why ? , please no answer "because looks better". both awesome 1 best?
