Mazda Rx8 2008 wont start what could be the problem?

have mazda rx8 wont start when go start clicking noise. did try jumpstart car , sounded trying start wouldnt start way. windows lights in car work car wont start. can problem? think battery since did try , jumpstart , trying start, when took jumper cables off went clicking noise. ideas?
