Leave My Job now or Not?

graduated since did not have internships during college career thought idea work professor few months while work. initially, paid job suppose end in sept 30 professor wants me stay jan 31, when funding ends. unfortunately, thought project suppose end @ aug 31 (bummer!)

need move out of apartment because lease ends on aug 31. if continue working until sept 30, need place stay 1 month. of friends have left school after graduated, , difficult lease place 1 month.

have few options:
1. tell prof. leave job end of aug , pray doesn't hate me.
2. tell prof. work until sept, , commute work 144 mile drive , forth everyday. or miraculously find place live @ 1 month.
3. work until jan 31. lease place 5 months , hope sublease 8 months because leases 1 school year.

moving pain in ***. , not getting paid lot work because looking experience. job isn't interesting. on brighter side, have work while work or want do.
