What's effectivity in AIPC(aircraft illustrated parts catalogue), what's MOD'S,SB'S,AMTOSS ..?

effectivity os code series of aircraft part listed in ipc allowed installed on.

sb = service bulletin. part might pre or post sb accomplishment. in other words, if sb has been done, need certian part, after done, have use because affected system has been modified original design.

mods = modification. modifications can done aircraft without use of service bulletin through engineering done either in house, or der. again, system affected has been modified, original part can no longer used.

example, aircraft manufactured through 1992 did not have strengthened flight deck doors installed. if went ipc order door list original door, , replacement post mod or sb (depending on method installed new door)

could 1 plse explane me,what's aipc, mod's, sb's... effectivity , effectivity block in aircraft manuels ... need indepth answers ...plse me ...
