2010 Toyota Prius Lease a Good Value (when you factor in gas saving)?

looking lease car. (i know leasing not value etc...). out of school , can't afford much. looking getting kia soul because cheap , safe. however, after seeing toyota commercials decided , see type of specials running. right can 3 year lease $209!

started crunch gas number little concluded if drive 1000 month gas @ $3.07 save $67.72 month in gas. applying saving lease brings monthly lease down 161.28 (only $11.28 more kia month) , prius must better , more substantial car. additionally, if did kia end paying more gas bringing monthly cost of driving kia $217.72.

know says hybrid premium doesn't pay , don't recoup premium until 3,4 or 5 years. based on math, 11.28 month can drive prius instead of kia soul. **also math based on $3.07 gallon (i live in so. cal , higher that, higher gas goes more save)**

guess question (1) assuming math correct wouldn't smarter prius (2) wrong? money going come out of pocket 1 way or another, shouldn't on car rather gas?
