Why are taxes a good thing...?

roads , bridges? how public schools , public libraries? having prompt, professional service local fire department? how our troops, seeing our army , our marines have supplies , weapons need keep safe?

having seatbelts, bumpers , airbags car? jobs can work 8-hour day , done it--and have life outside of work? having relatively clean , safe tap water? being able trust food pay for--do know can eat food without making sick?

how there standards language , conduct on broadcast television? how doctors , nurses , lawyers held _high_ standards of professional conduct, , have right sue them if break standards?

freedom of speech? enjoy freedom of worship? enjoy right remain silent if police take in, or right attorney, if can't afford one?

taxes, such, pay of these things , some. either pay bills directly, or pay personnel needed monitor , enforce rules, laws , regulations. want know _one_ of big reasons why bp oil spill happened? it's same reason big natural gas explosion happened in california recently....

both of these things happened in part because didn't spend money, taxpayers, support system , personnel _needed_ enforce regulations, , maintain sorts of inspections _needed_ provide public safety. yes, taxes pay sort of thing too--when money there, , when political there _insist_ big business concerns obey same rule of law ordinary citizens do.

basically, if individual try pay _everything_ mentioned there, in every detail....you couldn't alone. not yourself. not unless billionaire, , you'd hard-pressed keep all--it become second job.

why agree citizens of nation--the nation entity chosen people serve people in way. taxes allow them monetary means execute of voting, citizen public.

it's price pay make sure society works well. , in united states have been ripping ourselves off--in name of bigger profits richest 1 percent--for on decade now.
