i'd star lest expensive things first, try fuel system cleaner see if clears up, maybe check fuel filter, maybe needs tune "spark plugs & wires" , thing maybe fuel pump starting fail not sending correct amount of fuel injectors...

best wishes! , these cars run forever! cavalier has on 223,000 miles... needs clutch been great little 2door coupe!

my car runs great , accelerates okay unless give allot of throttle hesitates real bad. 180,000 miles on it. fuel filter or timing chain? times not if ive been driving day , shut off. hard start.
