Do cation pieces fit with other cation pieces?

no, cations never bond other cations. cations ions positive charge , anions ions negative charge, , magnets, opposites attract , similar charges repel. cations never bond other cations because there similar charges repel each other.

anions, on other hand, little tricky. cations, negative charges of anions repel, many anions form covalent bonds (atoms share electrons). many substances, such hf, co2, h20, no3, etc. made of 2 anions.

generally, cations never bond other cations , anions have ability share electrons other anions , form compounds.

please need answer 2 questions project , , anions pieces fit other anions pieces? too
