can swap of them in car. 04 , older easiest because can splice wires in , make run sti ecu. 05 , newer require replace entire wiring harness sti 1 , guage cluster. depending on use car for, 5 speed may not task of handling power. @ least wrx tranny , rear end if leave engine stock , if have bigger plans, 6 speed or built tranny. maybe read through conversions sections on http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/ , http://www.rs25.com/forums/ better , more info on need people have done it. cost vary maybe 5000 simple swap 12000 full engine , tranny swap plus various other things.
