How many art portfolios do i have to make to get into school of visual arts?

i'm assuming "portfolios" mean "work go portfolio".

40 pieces bit overwhelming. try more 12-15. unless you're taking ap art or course requires more, 12-15 pieces fine. institutions don't want @ more that, want see can , express under limitations. not how can produce under stress. :)

im junior(11th grade) in highschool , wanna go sva(school of visual arts)
, heard have make @ least 40 portfolios in. , started first portfolio work.
wondering if have make @ least 40 portfolios since dont have time.
