Insurance deposit for an auto insurance?

"deposits" requested start insurance policy not type thinking. deposit applied first and/or second month's payments. if cancel insurance, insurance company give prorated refund of unused premium -- in states allowed apply penalty or policy might have minimum earned provision. need ask prospective agent these questions--i hope have agent , not buying off internet. without agent going needing information , having rely on or other forums. agent able answer questions, advocate on behalf , claims.
