How to persuade my dad to let me buy a boat?

right point, ocean boy @ heart , live right on coast. have loved hanging out friends on boats , going in water fish crab etc. , several years ago dad bought me small inflatable nice tohatsu 8 horse , tons of accessories. believe or not there nice stuff on boat me enjoy experience of going in water , 1 on 1 bonding mother nature, boat docked more 15 miles away house , not accessible. took boat out , stored winter. of next summer went me unable find cheap berth boat. stayed in yard of summer. dad told me if couldn't find place dock boat in 3 weeks, sell it. luckily enough got bitten tick , contracted lyme in 1st week of 3 week time limit. spend next 2 1/2 weeks recuperating until strong enough leave house. time managed patch boat 1 week overdue , dad sold boat.

present: gave while before posing question again buy boat. time own money , not incredibly nice boat feel don't deserve. have 6000 dollars have earned , saved while , hoping buy junky 14ft aluminum boat along old 6 horse 2 stroke. total cost of boat ends @ 600 flat motor dad says wont let me buy it, , says can buy 540 dollar kit of plywood build boat not legit boat motor $60 more. hoping lobster license , have traps , way make money. don't know wrong dad know i'm right , wont listen
